E. Kingdon Hurlock, Jr., CFA, CIC
King is a the principal and founder of Calvert Investment Counsel. He is responsible for financial and retirement planning, portfolio management and investment research. King also oversees Calvert’s compliance and general business affairs. Having a career spanning over forty-six years in the field of investments and wealth management, King was the co-manager of Baker Watts Investment Counsel from 1985-1988 prior to establishing Calvert. From 1977-1985, he was a Vice President and portfolio manager for over $250 million in client assets at Redwood Capital Management. Previous to that, King spent seven years with a major Pennsylvania bank as the Senior Investment Officer and Director of the Trust Investment Division. While in this position, King frequently lectured at the Pennsylvania State Banking Association Trust Training School sessions held at Bucknell University. Earlier in his career, King served three years as an equity research analyst with both Travelers Insurance Company and Legg Mason. King is a member of the CFA Institute, the Baltimore CFA Society, the National Association of Business Economists, the Baltimore Economic Society, the Investment Adviser Association and the Financial Planning Association. He earned a B.A. degree in Economics from Trinity College and is a Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Investment Counselor.
Jacolyn is vice president and senior wealth advisor engaged in all phases of financial planning and portfolio management for individuals and families. In addition, she is qualified in the design, implementation and management of retirement plans for business owners and plan sponsors. Jacolyn’s career in investment management extends over 21 years. After gaining her initial experience as a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley, Jacolyn held senior positions with Banknorth Investment Management Group, United Bank (DC) Wealth Management Group, Access Capital Management and PBMares Wealth Management. She earned a B.S. degree in Business from Syracuse University and an MBA from Clarkson University. Jacolyn resides in Annapolis, MD and is active in a number of civic organizations. She is a competitive sailor and actively races on the Chesapeake Bay and winter southern circuits.
James J. Robison
Jim joined Calvert Investment Counsel as a registered Investment Advisor Representative in July, 2008. Jim’s experience in the field of investments covers a span of thirty-six years. During his earlier years in investments, Jim was a registered representative with Merrill Lynch and then Ferris Baker Watts. Jim was Senior Vice President of Investments with Legg Mason from 1982-1994, and held the same position with A.G. Edwards & Sons from 1994-1999 and with Morgan Stanley from 1999-2001. From 2001-2006 Jim was branch manager in the Annapolis office of Raymond James Financial. Previous to investments, Jim spent ten years with IBM achieving numerous awards as a top sales representative in the Office Products Division as a Medical Sales Representative. In 1976, Jim received the Top Sales Production Award, generating the highest sales production out of a sales force of 4,500 IBM representatives. In 2007 Jim established Bearcamp Consultants, LLC and worked a 200 acre dairy farm where he has been involved with land preservation and leasing oil and gas rights.
